Ever found yourself needing help on a particular program? VMEG members can access fellow VMEG experts for help with their problems.

Mac Boot Camps

VMEG's Mac Boot Camps (for both beginners and intermediates) provide members and others with training on specific programs and an opportunity to step back and get some answers on basic Mac functions that they might have forgotten.

Monthly Meetings

Twice a month meetings with demonstrations on the lastest and greatest hardware and software. Question and answer sessions provide an arena for problem solving with the assistance of the assembled membership.

Monthly Newsletter

The VMEG Connection has been a 20+ page monthly newsletter aimed at sharing the "Wonderful world of the Mac" with our members. Cutting edge articles on new hardware and software along with along with insightful tips and tricks to make your computing easier, faster, and more fun are contained within it's covers each month.

Effective with the September 1997 issue, the monthly VMEG Connection newsletter has almost doubled in size and has gone to an all electronic newsletter in DocMaker format. It is distributed to all online VMEG members via the internet, or via floppy disk and 'snail mail' for those VMEG members unable to connect to the internet.

Public Domain Software Library

VMEG maintains a CD library of over 2-gigabytes of public domain and shareware software that is available to the membership for a nominal copying fee ($3.00 per disk).

Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

VMEG has SIGs for Appleworks (previously ClarisWorks), Graphics, Education, and Online activities that meet informally to share the latest tips and discoveries on their Macs.

VMEG Home Page and E-mail Alerts

VMEG members and other Mac users have the access to the VMEG Home Page, which provide advance information on up coming meeting and demostrations. VMEG members with online addresses will be able to receive special alerts/notices of fast breaking news or virus alerts or special deals.

 

MEMBERSHIP:

Membership is open to all all computer enthusiasts, with special emphasis on MAC or MAC Clone users. With a membership of over 200, VMEG is the largest Macintosh Users Group in the Tulare and Kings county area of California's central San Joaquin Valley.

A Regular Membership is $30.00 per year which includes 12 months of the VMEG CONNECTION newsletter and access to over 2 gigabytes of public domain/shareware programs and files.

To join, complete the membership application form (after displaying the application form in your favorite browser, do a save as... to save the form as a text file, fill-out and then print-out the form); and, with a check made out to VMEG for the appropriate amount, either bring to the next meeting or mail to:
